Statutory Assessment Outcomes
Performance Summary 2019
Please note that due to Covid19, there are no statutory results for 2020 or 2021. These are therefore the latest statutory outcomes for the school.
Year 6:
Pupils sit formal, externally marked tests in examination conditions. The tests are in reading, mathematics and English grammar, punctuation and spelling provide scaled scores between 80 and 120. A score of 80 – 99 means the pupil did not meet the standard, and 100 – 120 means that they did.
Very high scores mean that the pupils is “working at greater depth within the standard” or GDS. Pupils with extremely low scores receive no scaled score and are then teacher-assessed using specific descriptions.
Writing and Science are teacher-assessed only. Judgements on writing are moderated by the Local Authority.
Progress measure is for the school only and is calculated on the difference between expected scaled scores (using KS1 average point scores) and actual scaled scores. Writing is given an arbitrary scaled score (90, 100 or 110) and an expected score so that a progress score can be calculated.

National GLD: 71.8%
Phonics:
Pupils take a statutory phonics check at the end of Year 1, decoding a combination of real and made-up words. This is to assess their ability to blend sounds together for reading.
Pupils who do not achieve the required level in Year 1 must re-take the test in Year 2. There are no further re-takes.
